Raise Chess Academy

Raise Chess Academy is a World at Play organization that uses chess as a tool to help refugee children combat psychological trauma. It ensures that children are not only playing chess but are also gaining educational and leadership support while prioritizing equality and inclusiveness.

We are currently providing a 5-week workshop to Raise Chess Academy students, with additional workshops to come.

Shanti Bhavan Children's Project

Shanti Bhavan is a U.S. 501 and India 80-G non-profit organization dedicated to supporting youth who face extreme poverty by providing 17 years of educational intervention. Its unprecedented educational model has received attention in Netflix's Daughters of Destiny

We've provided a 5-week workshop to Shanti Bhavan students, which spanned from January-March 2023.  We plan on conducting additional workshops starting in July 2024.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Scholastic Chess Association

The Charlotte Mecklenburg  Scholastic Chess Association (CMSCA) is a 501(C)(3) non-profit educational organization that leads chess learning and playing opportunities within the Charlotte community, encouraging first-time players and attracting more experienced ones. Through its tournaments, lessons, and projects, the CMSCA has played a major role in the local chess community. The FKCA has worked with the CMSCA to offer free chess lessons for all skill levels and plans on teaching at the JM Robinson Chess Club.

VTSeva

VTSeva (Volunteering Together for Service) is 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting underprivileged and under served communities, particularly visually challenged children and tribal students. They provide free education services, food, free cancer screening, medical camps, and natural disaster relief camps. The FKCA has worked with VTSeva to raise funds for their causes through chess camps.
